KITE is Enfield's Early Childhood Collaborative.
Bridging the gap for every child's future success.
KITE is working to ensure that Enfield’s children are healthy, safe, and happy; live in thriving families; and are ready to learn the skills they need to succeed in school and flourish in the 21st century.
Enfield KITE's goal is to strengthen early childhood programs and foster engagement through providing access to resources, opportunities for collaboration, partnerships with organizations in the community, professional development for parents and caregivers, and holistic implementation of the Early Childhood Community Plan while also promoting family learning objectives.
Enfield's Early Childhood Community Plan
Since the first release in 2012, KITE has envisioned, housed, implemented, and advocated for the needs of children and their families through the Enfield Early Childhood Community Plan. This comprehensive plan is the blueprint and roadmap for the strategies and initiatives that KITE, and the broader Enfield community carry out to ensure KITE’s mission. 14 community-wide focus groups with parent and community leaders, organizations, and KITE collaborative members, 98 family surveys, and over 1500 collective hours went into creating the 2023 Enfield Early Childhood Community Plan.
