Enfield Public Library-PJ Storytime @ Enfield Public Library

On Thursday, February 28th at 6:30 pm children are invited to an evening storytime at the Enfield Public Library.  PJ’s are proper attire.  Bring along mom and dad and your favorite stuffed animal – they’d like to hear a story, make a craft and dance, too.  The recommended age for this storytime is 3 – 7.

This evening is for parents and educators of children who will start Kindergarten in September 2019.  Parents and educators will receive information on the goals and expectations of a child entering kindergarten, transition tips and registration information.  Enfield Kindergarten Teachers will share information about the kindergarten experience and answer any questions they may have.

 

Childcare is not available for this event.

Enfield Public Library-Storytime Registration @ Enfield Public Library

Storytimes set the stage for lifelong learning and the love of reading, promotes increased attention span and allow children to develop the early literacy, communication and social skills needed to be ready to learn by the time they enter school.

Registration for storytimes at the Enfield Public Library will begin Monday, March 4th at 9:00 am in the Children’s Room and continue through the rest of the week.

“Time for Twos” will meet either 9:30 am on Tuesdays or 10:30 am on Thursdays. A caregiver must accompany each child. “Terrific Threes” will meet on Tuesdays at 10:30 am. “Fantastic Fours and Fives” will meet on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm. “Marvelous Threes & Fours” will meet on Thursdays at 9:30 am or Thursdays at 1:30 pm.  Storytimes begin March 18th and end on May 2nd.

Join us for a free family breakfast and open play time in Enfield’s newest child-focused hot spot: the Play Lab at Stowe!

The Play Lab at Stowe is a hands-on play space for young children with exhibits that change periodically. You never know what kind of fun awaits. The Play Lab is designed for children from age 3 to 5. While it’s fun for older children too (ages 6-10) with many small parts it may not be appropriate for younger kids. This is not a drop-off event, but rather an opportunity for parents and caregivers to have joyful interactions with their kiddos.

Evening Rhyme Time @ Enfield Public Library

Join us Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30 pm for one half hour of nursery rhymes, songs, and finger plays.  This is a drop-in program that is designed to promote early language skills for ages birth to twenty-four months, accompanied by parents or caregivers.

This drop-in program, “Waddling Ones” is an early literacy program designed for you and your child ages 12 to 24 months.  Reading, rhyming, singing, and talking — beginning from birth —influences literacy and language development, the foundation of all learning!
