Enfield Plays On! is launching a new project this summer called “PLAYground Tuesdays” to help families get out to some of our neighborhood parks to play. Every Tuesday from 12:30-2:30, a pair of Play Ambassadors will be at a different park with balls, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, and friendship bracelet supplies. It will be a great opportunity for kids to play with friends (new and old) and parents to have another adult to chat with during the long days of summer. There may even be a Special Play Partner on hand to join in the fun!
Enfield Plays On! will hold our Playful Idea of the Day again this summer during school vacation. Join the EnfieldPlaysOn! Facebook group and every morning a new, playful idea will pop up. As part of that program, KITE will be offering its free Summer Playcation Kit again this year, with supplies to complete many of the playful ideas. The main distribution of the PLAYcation Kits will happen on June 27th at the Central and Pearle Street libraries during their Summer Reading Program kickoff. In response to some of the feedback we received last year, KITE will also hold a special, evening Playcation Kit pick up for families whose work schedule doesn’t permit them to be at the library in the morning. A small selection of PLAYcation Kits will be available from 6-6:30 on June 20th at the Town Green.
